Olympic officials in China have announced that more than half the available domestic tickets for the 2008 Beijing Games have been sold in the month since they went on sale in April. China made two-point-two million tickets available a month ago and 230-thousand fans have bought almost one-point-one million of them. Olympic Ticketing Center head said Tuesday that tickets to the opening ceremony, basketball and diving competitions have been the best sellers. Fans can purchase tickets to the opening and closing ceremonies as well as all 28 sports during the first phase, which ends June 30th. The second leg of domestic sales will run from October through December. Olympic committees of individual countries and territories are conducting overseas sales.

Famous Chinese writer Lin Yu-Tang (林语堂) said, "Of all the rights of women, the greatest is to be a mother." Some of these women had their own children; others did not, yet they were all great mothers to many, altering the world with their deeds. Marie Curie In the early 1900s, few women earned college degrees. But Marie Sklodowaka was not an ordinary woman. Not only did she earn an undergraduate degree in science, but she was also the first woman in Europe to earn a Ph.D. in this field. Marie's husband, scientist Pierre Curie, helped her finish her thesis on radioactivity, which led to a shared Nobel Prize in physics. During World War 1, Marie put her knowledge to use. She drove X-ray machines to the frontlines, allowing doctors to see and remove bullets, thereby saving many soldiers' lives. Anne Morrow Lindbergh Anne Morrow Lindbergh often acted as co-pilot for her famous aviator husband, Charles Lindbergh, and together, they explored new air routes across several oceans. Anne also gave birth to the couple's six children. More than a pilot or a mother, though, Anne is probably best remembered as an inspirational writer. Her most popular book, written while on an island retreat, was Gift from the Sea. Her words gave readers the courage to face the dilemmas of life.

To allow (the) camel's nose into the tent 或者 to get (the) camel's nose into the tent 是“为达到最终目的做安排布置”。 这个骆驼鼻子,令人想到口语中常说的 to poke one's nose into something,指好管闲事。He is always poking his nose into other people's business。 Do not stick your nose into things that do not concern you! Keep your nose out of things that do not concern you。以keep one's nose out of something 表示不要牵涉某事之中。 I'll thank you to keep your nose out of my affairs。
